UNIVERSAL FUNDING
Every child becomes eligible for a universal Nursery Grant the term after they are 3 years old. This entitles them to up to 15 hours per week, 38 weeks a year completely free. It can be taken in various combinations through no more than 2 settings. Our sessions at The Psalter Lane Nursery are 3 hours long and are available in morning or afternoon sessions. Our morning sessions are from 9.00am until 12.00 noon and our afternoon sessions are from 12.30pm until 3.30pm. Any additional sessions over the free 15 hour entitlement will be charged in accordance with our up to date fees list.

30 HOURS FUNDED CHILDCARE-EXTENDED ENTITLEMENT
With effect from September 2017,we are providing the new government assisted top up grants of 30 hours for working parents. The guidelines for this new scheme have been set out by the government and eligibility is determined by HMRC through an online application. Parents can check their eligibility at:https;//www.childcarechoices.gov.ukAs set out in the previous Universal Funding information, our sessions under this new scheme remain the same and any additional sessions over the funded 30 hour entitlement will be charged in accordance with our up to date fees list.
15 Hours FEL and 2year old FEL
• At The Psalter Lane Nursery you can use your 15 hour FEL during the core morning or afternoon sessions (5 x morning or 5 x afternoon sessions or a combination of both).
• If you require a full core day the session is 9am to 3pm. A core morning is 9am to 12pm. A core afternoon is 12:30pm to 3:30pm.
• The full 15 hour FEL can be used over two and a half days.
• You can choose to add on paid sessions for Breakfast and After Nursery Club.
30 Hours EFE
If eligible for the 30 hour EFE, parents do not need to use all their funding.
• The standard Session Pattern (available for any number of core FEL sessions up to and including the full 30 hours 9.00am-3.00pm).
You can choose to add on paid sessions for Extended Breakfast Club and After Nursery Club
Activity School
The Psalter Lane Nursery offers an Activity School 9.00am – 3.30pm during school holiday periods. This will only run if there is enough demand for it. The fees for this are available on request.
FEL Terms and Conditions
If you take a family holiday during the 38 funded weeks, only 4 weeks of your holiday will be funded each year. If you wish to take additional holidays or extended leave to your home country and you would like us to keep your child’s place open, then we will need to charge you for any session not covered by the Funded Early Learning. Alternatively, you can reapply for a place at nursery when you return to Sheffield, although a place cannot always be guaranteed.
If you wish to leave nursery and or change provider midway through the term, you will be asked to give 4 weeks’ notice. Within this notice period you will not be able to claim FEL at another provider and you will be liable for any paid sessions.
We will ask you to sign a parental Agreement Form and pattern of attendance at the start of each year to confirm you agree and understand the terms and conditions including any charges and how many FEL hours per week and weeks of term you intend to claim at The Psalter Lane Nursery and if you are claiming any hours at another setting. A new form will need to be completed for any changes that happen.
Please note:
• 4 weeks’ notice is required to change any booked sessions or change of provider.
• Booked sessions will still be charged for if your child cannot attend for any reason.
• Bank Holidays will be charged for and FEL funding will be claimed for children whose pattern of attendance shows they would normally attend on these days.
• No refunds are given for non-attendance of paid sessions.
